Despite the Super Smash Bros. 3DS demo being firmly in the hands of everyone outside of Japan, developer Masahiro Sakurai still feels the need to give teasers about the upcoming Wii U version of the game. We still don’t have a solid release date for the game and it’s almost October, which is strange. Hopefully we’ll get a Nintendo Direct announcing the date soon, otherwise it could slip into next year.
This new image is taken from a Wii U exclusive stage based on the Game & Wario mini-game where you have to hide from your mother. Here’s what Sakurai said about the stage:
Pic of the day. Here’s a stage exclusive to the Wii U version: Gamer. Don’t let Mom find you while you’re duking it out!!
If Mom does spot you, she’ll scold you and blow you away!! …I’ve never seen a fighting action game as chaotic as this one.
It looks like this particular stage will have some environmental hazards you want to avoid, which makes it pretty unique in that the level itself could affect how well players perform. Are you looking forward to seeing Smash on Wii U?
