Super Smash Bros. developer Masahiro Sakurai has hinted that development of Super Smash Bros. is not finished. The developer discusses working on both version of the game in order to ensure balance is maintained for all characters. As for the upcoming release of Super Smash Bros., Sakurai hinted that a Nintendo Direct detailing all the features of the Wii U version of the game, including Amiibo could be coming soon.

Game development is very hard. You cannot get through it without sacrificing everything, including your own private life, and you often get hurt. However, I’m grateful that so many people have been involved, for the games that are completed, and all the people who play the games.

According to Sakurai, a Nintendo Direct highlighting the exclusive features of the Wii U version will show the “true potential of Smash Bros.” No release date was given for the hinted Nintendo Direct, but given that the game is releasing in a little more than a month, we expect to see an announcement soon.
