Rocket League will be getting cross-party support in 2018. That’s a big deal and it will make cross-play a lot better.
Here’s why: right now cross-play is limited to private matches where players have to be invited. But with cross-party support, you can create a party of friends from different platforms and play together and go from match to match.
Right now, parties are only supported on individual platforms — only Switch or PS4/PC/XB1 players can group together and play. But with cross-party support, players on different platforms can get together and play as a group.
No word on when we can expect this feature in Rocket League, but the developer tweeted that they are actively working on it for a 2018 release.
Hey there! We’re actively working on cross-platform party support for a 2018 release. 🙂
