Red Goddess seeking funding on Kickstarter, Wii U goal at $400k

A new game has popped up on Kickstarter that looks promising and with a Wii U stretch goal set at $400k. Red Goddess seems to take inspiration from Nintendo’s Super Princess Peach, in that you control the emotions of the character in order to progress through the level. Emotions are a lot less… questionable in Red Goddess however, as it looks like the emotions being showcased are based on elements and specific feelings, instead of the stereotypical approach of Super Princess Peach.

Players can harness the power of rage and engulf themselves in flames, while harnessing the power of fear seems to invoke ice. All three states of being are supposed to have a unique play style, which could lend to some fantastic puzzles in the finished game.

The above trailer is pretty brief, but it does show off some of the gameplay. The game seems to focus on platforming and puzzling and the aesthetic style really reminds me of the WiiWare title Lost Winds. Check out some of these screenshots from the Kickstarter:
