Rayman Legends Wii U, PS3, and Xbox 360 comparison

Rayman Legends was originally a Wii U exclusive, but after seeing how the console was struggling on the Wii U, Ubisoft chose to bring the game to other platforms, in hopes of recouping their development costs. And so, Rayman Legends was not only coming to the PS3 and Xbox 360, it was also delayed by 6 months.

The game is finally here, on the Wii U, the PS3, Xbox 360, and even the PC. And according to the guys at Digital Foundry, all versions of the game are very similar. They did an in depth analysis of the four different versions, all of which run the game in 1080p at 60 frames per second.

However, the Wii U version does come out on top because of the gameplay and the GamePad. Rayman Legends was originally designed for the Wii U, with big parts of the gameplay crafted around the tablet controller. Some of the GamePad-specific levels have been “dumbed down” for the other consoles. Overall, they conclude that the Wii U offers the definitive version of Rayman Legends, which we agree with.
