Want Rare Replay games on Wii U? Just ask Rare, says Microsoft

Rare Replay Wii U

Developer Rare has a rich history on Nintendo platforms — the developer has made some of the most popular Nintendo games of all times, such as GoldenEye 007, Banjo-Kazooie, Perfect Dark, among many others.

The studio was acquired by Microsoft in 2002, and that meant that it was pretty much the end of Nintendo titles from Rare. However, there might be some hope in getting older Rare titles on the Wii U.

Rare Replay is a collection of 30 video games previously developed by Rare, which was released on the Xbox One earlier this year. In fact, when Rare Replay was released, the Xbox One had more N64 games than the Wii U, funny enough.

And Microsoft seems open to the idea of releasing Rare Replay on the Wii U as well.

When asked about Rare Replay on the Wii U on Twitter, Microsoft Studios replied: “Suggest it to the great folks at Rare”. Tweet below:

Rare Replay features some Nintendo 64 favorites, including Banjo-Kazooie, Killer Instinct, and the original Perfect Dark.
