While Puyo Puyo Tetris looks like a silly little game with its kawaii aesthetic, there’s some serious hardcore puzzling that happens online. Regardless of whether you prefer Puyo or Tetris, the game is getting updated in August to address the issue of rage quitters who leave matches in the middle of the game.
The official Puyo Puyo Tetris Twitter account sent out the following tweet a few days ago to let fans know that an update is on the way with “stricter penalties” for rage quitters. What those stricter penalties could be isn’t exactly detailed.
This August we're releasing a patch for #PuyoPuyoTetris. Updates include balance adjustments & stricter penalties for rage-quitters.

The announcement doesn’t give a specific date in August either, but if you’ve been fond of dropping matches in Puyo Puyo Tetris with no penalty, well your days are numbered.
