After months of reassuring Wii U owners that Project CARS would release on Wii U, Project CARS was eventually delayed on Wii U and then never released. Fans who asked about the Wii U version of Project CARS and why they were mislead for years following the development of it were ridiculed on the official forums. Now the official word from the studio is that the game is just too much for the Wii U.
The official line is that we’re awaiting an announcement from Nintendo on new hardware. As of now pCARS is simply too much for the Wii U.
Remember back during development, the same studio said the Wii U was capable of handling the game and all throughout the numerous delays that the game experienced, studio executives reconfirmed that the Wii U version of the game was coming. The whole episode has left a bad taste in many mouths, but it seems like Slightly Mad Studios just keeps digging the hole further.
Now in a new exclusive with Nintendo Life, the studio says they’re waiting on new Nintendo hardware to bring the game to fans, but have they already used up all their goodwill with Nintendo fans? Those who were eagerly awaiting this game on Wii U certainly have not had kind words for the development team after all the misleading statements. What do you think?
