PopCap Brings Bejeweled to Chrome

PopCap has joined the ranks of Rovio in their support of the Chrome browser as a valid platform by bringing Bejeweled 3 to the Chrome Web store. The company recently announced that it would be bringing Plants vs. Zombies, Peggle, and Bejeweled directly to the Android Marketplace after months of exclusivity on the Amazon Appstore, so it seems like PopCap is finally ready to embrace Google with open arms.

The Web store version of Bejeweled is based on HTML5 and supports two modes, the classic endless mode and a new speed run mode that is not unlike Bejeweled Blitz which is available on Facebook. Despite Bejeweled making its way onto the Android Marketplace and the Chrome Web store, there has been no word on whether Plants vs. Zombies and Peggle will make the leap to HTML5 as well.
