Politically-correct idiot criticizes Mario Kart 8 for lack of

So far reviews of Mario Kart 8 have been positive. Except with one review from Paste Magazine, whose reviewer, Casey Malone, criticized the game for not having enough diversity when it comes to skin color.

That’s right. Whether it’s a movie, TV show, or video game, there’s always someone out there who tries to bring race into everything. Mr. Malone said in his review:

“When it comes to human characters, Mario Kart 8 is overwhelmingly white. Of the 29 drivers, 14 are human (including Toad and Toadette), and every single one of them is white”.

Normally, race and skin color are sensitive issues that belong in a serious debate. This is not one of those cases. This is a case of the reviewer trying to be politically correct and stir up some controversy where there should be none. Mario Kart 8 is a fantasy game populated by humans and animals and whatnot. The whole notion of “race” is just ridiculous when you have characters such as Donkey Kong and Yoshi and Bowser.

Not to mention that players can create their own Miis, in any color they choose, and use it in the game.

Bringing skin color and race into a game like Mario Kart 8 shows the sad state of the world, where everything has to be politically correct, where everyone must be pleased, and where people like Mr. Malone will go out of their way to find something to be offended about.

I just hope that Mr. Malone didn’t dislocate his shoulder while patting himself on the back when writing his review of Mario Kart 8.
