Is Pokken Tournament coming to Nintendo Switch?

We’ve known for a while now that HORI is working on producing a fight stick for the Nintendo Switch, which seems strange since the only fighting game announced for the console is Ultra Street Fighter II, which released just a few days ago. Now there’s some speculation that Pokken Tournament could be ported to the Switch, thanks to a Japanese retailer listing.

The Sinobi listing has since been removed, but the arcade fighting stick was listed for the Nintendo Switch and the product page indicated that it was compatible with Pokken Tournament. All references to Pokken Tournament were removed from the page, so it’s unclear if this was a retailer error, or if retailers leaked information that hasn’t been made public yet.

Given the track record Nintendo has of porting Wii U games to the Switch, I think it’s probably likely that Pokken Tournament will end up on the Nintendo Switch at some point in the future. What do you think? Do you think this rumor has weight to it, or is it just a retailer screw up?

Would you be excited to play Pokken Tournament on the Nintendo Switch?
