Pokemon Ultra Sun and Moon are not coming to Switch

Yesterday Nintendo announced that its top selling Pokemon Sun and Moon games will be re-released later this year as Pokemon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon. And there were some rumors that this version might be released on the Switch as well.

The rumor came from a listing on the official Pokemon press site, which listed the new games on the Switch as “TBA”.

But that’s not the case. The Pokemon Company has said that this was a simple error and that the games are not coming to the Switch.

Despite this, there will be a Pokemon game on the Switch this year: Pokken Tournament DX will be coming to the Switch this September.

Pokemon Sun and Moon were originally released last year, and have sold a combined 15 million units in just 9 months.
