Nintendo: Pokemon Switch and Metroid Prime 4 are 2018 games

Last week, Nintendo revealed that they have a Pokemon game and Metroid Prime 4 coming to the Switch. The only thing we needed to know was when to expect both titles. Seeing as how they didn’t bother announcing a prospective release date for either game, we didn’t think they’d be available before 2019, until now.

In an interview with VentureBeat, Nintendo of America corporate communications director Charlie Scibetta stated that 2018 will be a big year for the Switch, focusing on Metroid, Kirby, Yoshi, and the upcoming Pokemon game.

We’ve announced a nice lineup through this year, and next year we have some big games coming with Metroid 4. 2018 will be around Metroid, Kirby, Yoshi, new Pokemon game has been announced. We feel good about the lineup for this year and beyond.

Now, the only question we have at this point is whether or not any of those games mentioned will be delayed. Hopefully not because Metroid and Pokemon next year would be amazing.
