Pokemon Go murderer gets life in prison

Late last year, a Pokemon Go player was murdered in the UK while playing the game. Now the murderer has been convicted and received life in prison.

Carl Gregory was out playing Pokemon Go back in October, and was attacked by two men after posting a photo on social media relating to his ex-girlfriend.

One of the men ended up choking Gregory for two minutes, killing him. He received a life sentence and will be eligible for parole in 18 years. The other man involved with the case was cleared of all charges.

When this happened late last year, there was a lot of discussion about playing Pokemon Go and staying safe, due to numerous cases of people being lured and robbed while playing the game.

Luckily, so far this year there haven’t been any reports of serious crimes against people wandering around playing Pokemon Go.
