Nintendo’s Smash ballot initiative has turned out to be relatively popular, as we’ve seen developers campaigning on Twitter to see their creations included as DLC in Super Smash Bros. So far we’ve seen campaigns for Shovel Knight, Cave Story, Super Meat Boy, and more. Playtonic Games is joining the fray by officially campaigning to get Banjo-Kazooie included in the game asa DLC character.

Phil Spencer first spoke of seeing Banjo-Kazooie in Smash by tweeting about it and mentioning that Microsoft has worked with Nintendo in the past on old Rare IPs with absolutely no problems. If you’d like to see Banjo-Kazooie taken into consideration for being a character in the game, head on over to the Smash ballot page and cast your vote.

This is probably one of the characters that makes the most sense, as before Rare was purchased by Microsoft, the Banjo-Kazooie games were highly popular Nintendo games that you just couldn’t play anywhere else.
