Pac-Man Maker trademark filed by Bandai Namco in EU

Here’s an interesting piece of news for you that might be tangentially related to Nintendo. It seems as though Bandai Namco took some inspiration from Super Mario Maker’s success on both the Wii U and the Nintendo 3DS, since a trademark was spotted yesterday for Pac-Man Maker. The trademark was filed in the EU and there’s no description of the game, but it’s not hard to imagine what it would be like.

Will we soon be creating our own Pac-Man courses to enjoy? Somehow I just don’t think a Pac-Man Maker has the same staying power as Super Mario Maker, which has tons of new objects and visual layouts. There’s Pac-Man and Ms. Pac-Man and… ???? Anyone else want to take a guess? Since several Pac-Man games debuted on the Wii U, it’s likely it’ll come to Switch if/when it does release.
