Oh Nintendo Japan, never change. To show off some future indie games coming to the Nintendo Switch in Japan, the Big N uploaded what they called a “Nyandies” video. Nyandies is a pun on the “nya” sound that cats make in Japan. To go with the theme, Cat Mario and Cat Peach are the presenters of the video, taking complete control of their newfound roll in announcing these indies like anime cat people.

In addition to a lot of indie games we already have here in the states, there were some brand-new announcements in the video like Owlboy, YIIK: A Post Modern RPG, and many more. Here’s everything new they showed:

  • Cat Quest
  • Backslash
  • L.F.O. Lost Future Omega
  • She Remembered Caterpillars
  • Nine Parchments

RiME also makes an appearance near the beginning of the video. See anything you like? Let us know in the comments below. We’re pretty excited for Owlboy, after watching Super Bunnyhop’s review.
