Nintendo’s idiotic move: reset Switch play time after 1 year

Do you love the counter that displays how many hours you’ve played a particular Switch game? For some reason, Nintendo has decided to reset that counter yearly.

Since today marks the first anniversary of the Switch console, Australian Switch gamers, who are ahead of us time-wise, have just discovered that the timers on games are resetting after a year.

So all those hundreds of hours that you’ve proudly put into Breath of the Wild will be set to a big fat zero.

We really, really hope that this is a glitch, because to reset the counter is just idiotic and shows a complete disconnect with gamers.
