Watch how the Nintendo Switch Joycon HD rumble works [VIDEO]

Nintendo unveiled its new console this evening, showcasing its new Joycon controllers alongside it. There’s quite a bit more to them that we knew previously, including something called HD Rumble.

Nintendo described it as being able to feel exactly how many ice cubes are in a glass of water as they’re added, while also being able to feel the water being poured in. That’s a pretty accurate level of detail if it turns out to be true and it could give Nintendo’s controllers an edge when playing the sort of motions games it debuted for the Switch.

Additional motion controls showcased seem to indicate Nintendo has improved the original motion controls found in the Wii remotes, providing more accurate movement tracking while also providing this new way to feel what you’re doing.
