Nintendo of America announces Nintendo Direct on Jan. 14

It’s taken them long enough. Just this evening Nintendo of America’s Twitter account sent out a message to let everyone know that we can expect a Nintendo Direct this Wednesday, January 14. Perhaps the other most exciting piece of news outside of the announcement of the Direct itself was that the tweet specifically mentions Mr. Iwata as a presenter. This will be Iwata’s first Nintendo Direct presentation since recovering from a surgery earlier this year.

The tweet’s image only mentions the upcoming Wii U and Nintendo 3DS games, but we suspect Nintendo will at least give us a release date for the New Nintendo 3DS that released in Japan last year and is launching in Europe shortly.
