During Nintendo’s press conference today announcing its mobile partnership with DeNA, another interesting tid-bit if news slipped from president Satoru Iwata. According to him, the next Nintendo console is already code-named NX and while that’s the only detail the company is sharing on it, more information about the upcoming console will be revealed in 2016.
There’s plenty of speculation about whether this could be Nintendo’s attempt at recapturing the home console market, or if it plans to go pure portable while embracing the mobile market as something else entirely.
