XSEED Bringing Rune Factory 4 to 3DS in North America

Rune Factory 4 will be published in North America by XSEED, according to details released on Siliconera. The game will be headed to 3DS sometime this year after being released in July 2012 in Japan. The game will feature the ability to choose a male and female protagonist this time around, as well as the ability to start a family and care for them in-between taking care of your farm and running through dungeons.

Iwata Asks reveals Fire Emblem: Awakening was almost on Mars

Iwata Asks is a developer column conducted by Nintendo president Satoru Iwata. The latest Iwata Asks features the development team behind Fire Emblem: Awakening and reveals that the team had trouble with the setting of the game, stating that the team made proposals that completely departed from the medieval setting, such as Fire Emblem in the modern world or even set on Mars. The idea for that was shot down by director Hitoshi Yamagami.

Monolith Soft Facebook image teases new handheld game

While Wii U fans are salivating over Monolith Soft’s Project X that Iwata revealed in the latest Nintendo Direct, an interesting job listing for 3D CG designers has appeared on Facebook. The post included the above piece of concept art which could tease the new 3DS game that the developer is working on. If Monolith Soft is working on a 3DS title, the 3DS could become one of the biggest RPG-sporting handhelds in 2013.

 Turn your 3DS into a Pokedex

If you’re looking for a style that’s a bit different for your 3DS, why not turn it into a Pokedex? Etsy user GameThemedThings has several decals for the 3DS available in their Etsy shop, including Majora’s Mask and other Zelda-themed decals. The most eye-popping is certainly the Pokedex decal, however. You can find it here if you’re so inclined, but be sure to check out the full shop as there are other decals that are simply amazing!

New Animal Crossing: New Leaf trailer (in Korean)

Animal Crossing: New Leaf has been available in Japan since last year and we’ve known about some of the new additions such as being the mayor of your own town and diving for scallops. This latest trailer is the Korean release trailer for New Leaf and shows off some of these aspects in great detail, including the new “town” area with shops dedicated to helping you pick out new decor for your town. Pretty neat!
