Periodically Nintendo takes the Nintendo Network offline in order to perform routine maintenance. Today the network will be offline from 12:00pm PST to 5:00pm PST for a total of five hours. During this time, you’ll be unable to access the Nintendo eShop on either the Wii U or the Nintendo 3DS. The Wii Shopping Channel will be offline and unavailable as well.
This is routine maintenance and if there is a firmware update, we don’t expect anything beyond the standard “performance improvements” that gets released every now and then.
