PAX Prime starts in less than two weeks and Nintendo has announced a special event at EMP Museum to kick off the festivities. Running from 8pm to midnight on August 27, the Nindies@Night event is a way to celebrating upcoming indie games that will be debuting on both Wii U and Nintendo 3DS. The lounge will include playable games, competitions, giveaways, food and drinks, and even a presentation by indie developers.

Admission to the event is free and will be on a first come, first served basis, so if you’re attending PAX Prime or already live in Seattle, you might want to make this a destination if you’re a Nintendo fan. Nintendo’s Damon Baker says his company is excited to be kicking off PAX with such a big event for Nintendo fans.

We’re thrilled to highlight these partners in collaboration with EMP and kick off the expo weekend in the best way possible – by playing new games together with friends.

More than 19 games will be playable with their developers on hand to answer any questions you may have about the games.
