Nintendo of Japan has announced a Nintendo Direct on May 31st that will cover the upcoming summer Wii U and Nintendo 3DS releases for the region. It’s taking place before E3, so it’s likely Nintendo wanted to get its Japanese-only announcements out of its system before throwing down in Los Angeles in a few weeks. Here’s the relevant tweet announcing the Nintendo Direct.

There’s no telling what Nintendo will have in store for Japan, considering the regions are treated vastly different, but it should be interesting to watch to see if we can determine any products that may end up coming to the West.
