Nintendo considering VR for Switch, but it has to be comfortable

Nintendo is no stranger when it comes to VR, but the company has been shy about addressing it lately as headsets like the Oculus Rift and HTC Vive bring high-fidelity VR into the mainstream. In a new interview with Japanese publication Nikkei, Nintendo president Tatsumi Kimishima says that Nintendo is considering VR for the Switch.

“If we are able to resolve the issues with playing [VR] comfortably for long hours, we will support it in one form or another.”

Of course, Kimishima didn’t mention a timeframe for VR with the Nintendo Switch, but it’s interesting to hear the new president openly admit that it could be supported on the Switch if the comfort problem is solved.

Nintendo is also dedicated to the mobile space, with two or three more games planned for release before March 2018, so it’s nice to see Nintendo diversifying its strategy across several different platforms.

If Nintendo does decide to dedicate time towards getting VR working with the Nintendo Switch, what would you want to see?
