Nintendo has filed for a trademark in Japan called “Nintendo Check-In”. There isn’t any information on what the trademark covers or what the application of it will be, but the filing did reveal the official logo.
Nintendo Check-In most certainly has something to do with the mobile space, especially considering that the company now as two portable consoles on the market: the 3DS and the Switch.
It could also have something to do with the upcoming Switch mobile app, which will be released on July 21 alongside Splatoon 2.
