Nintendo today announced the sixth North American Splatfest, which will go live next week on Friday, October 9th at 9PM PT. This time, the theme will be cars vs planes. The upcoming Japanese Splatfest pits Squid vs Octopus.
Splatoon has been a huge hit on the Wii U, even topping Mario Kart 8 as the fastest selling game in Japan (Mario Kart!). Earlier today, Nintendo announced that Splatoon will be getting a new weapon tonight: The Carbon Roller Deco.
As a reminder, here are the previous North American Splatfests:
- Cats vs Dogs (July 4th)
- Roller Coasters vs Water Slides (July 17th)
- Marshmallows vs Hot Dogs (August 7th)
