In what can only be described as a completely unexpected development, Super Smash Bros developer Masahiro Sakurai has once again posted a screenshot from the upcoming Super Smash Bros game on Miiverse today. The screenshot showcases longtime rivals Link and Pit locked in an epic sniper duel, their intense blows clashing against each other, with nothing less than the very fate of Wuhu Island itself resting on the outcome of their battle!
Along with the screenshot Sakurai had this to say:
“Both Link and Pit use bows, but when they fire simultaneously, their arrows meet and cancel out closer to Pit. Besides attack power and projectile speed, there are many elements that affect tactics, such as accuracy, vulnerability after attacking, and even seemingly unrelated features like a character’s physical abilities.”
This suggests that Link’s arrows will fly faster than Pit’s in this game, but both will have similar attack power, thus being able to cancel each other out.
