According to a leaked Starbucks employee guide, developer Niantic is prepping a massive Pokemon Go update that will bring 100 new Pokemon to the mobile game.
The Starbucks employee guide details a new partnership between the coffee franchise and Pokemon Go, and tells employees that “Pokémon Go is about to expand with new Pokémon and a new Starbucks beverage”.
According to reports, Starbucks stores will become PokéStops or Gyms, and they’ll offer a new Pokémon Go-branded Frappuccino coffee drink.
Last month, people looked at Pokemon Go’s data and source and found references to 100 new creatures from Pokémon Gold and Silver, and it appears that those will become available in the new update.
Niantic hasn’t confirmed nor denied the rumor, they’ve only said to stay tuned for December 12th for more info.
