New Miiverse update brings the ability to filter to Wii U & web

Miiverse

Today Nintendo issued a small update to Miiverse, bringing the ability to filter activity feed to show only friends’ posts, so you’re not spammed by everyone replying to something you commented on. This is a much needed change in helping follow conversations on the fledgling social network and it’s nice to see Nintendo taking consumer feedback into consideration as they continually improve the service.

There has been a small update to Miiverse today.

1) The search box for finding users has been moved to the top of the activity feed in the Wii U and Nintendo 3DS versions of Miiverse. This now matches the web version.

2) In the Wii U and web versions of Miivese, you can now filter your activity feed to show only your friends’ posts. Select “All” at the top of the activity feed, and you can choose between “All” and “Friends Only”.

For people who comment on several threads a day on Miiverse, this means you’ll be able to follow what your friends are saying much more closely instead of having to filter through what everyone has said in response to something you’ve posted. Nifty!
