Darksiders 2 is a highly anticipated Wii U game, and one of the very first third party titles to be announced for the console. However, we haven’t heard a lot from Darksiders 2 lately, and very few Wii U specifics have emerged. Now THQ has opened up about the game, and they’ve released some interesting details.
The Darksiders 2 Wii U version will of course fully support the Wii U GamePad, and the Wii U version will have new content that isn’t available on the PlayStation 3 nor the Xbox 360. Additionally, the Wii U version will include the DLC packs Argul’s Tomb, Angel of Death, Shadow of Death, and the Deadly Despair Pack. The game will also include unique weapons and armor sets not found in other versions. THQ also released a few images of the game running on Nintendo’s new console (you can find those below).
The GamePad will be used to access player’s inventory and ability menu, and players will also be able to play the whole game on the GamePad alone. Overall, developer Vigil Games has said that the Wii U version will be an “enhancement of the core game”. Darksiders 2 will be a Wii U launch title on November 18.
