On Saturday, EA opened E3 2017 with a multitude of their upcoming games including Need for Speed: Payback, the latest addition to the long-running, racing franchise.
With the game revealed, Switch owners were left wondering if the game would come to the Nintendo Switch, or if it even could. Well, we have answers to at least one of those questions.
In an interview with GameSpot, Need for Speed: Payback executive producer Marcus Nilsson says he loves the Switch. In fact, he “adore[s]” it. When asked about Payback’s possibility on the Switch, here was his refreshingly honest answer:
“Would that be a platform that Need for Speed: Payback could run on? I don’t see why [not], but it’s not something we’re looking to at this very moment.”
We wouldn’t expect a Switch version of Payback to look identical to the game on PS4 and Xbox One, but learning that the game could run on Nintendo’s little hybrid is nice. Now, hopefully they’ll think about porting it eventually.
