NBA Playgrounds still missing features; players get Shaq Fu for free

It’s been almost a month since NBA Playgrounds launched on the Nintendo Switch. Since then, the game has received updates for online player and more characters on other platforms. So far, though, Switch owners have been left in the dust.

Online play was originally  supposed to come to the Switch only a “few days” after launch, but time and time again, something delays the update. We’ve learned that the upcoming update will reduce the game size by half, bump up the resolution, add online, and include other features that are present in every other version of NBA Playgrounds. However, developer Saber Interactive says that “some complications” are preventing them from submitting the patch to Nintendo.

Today, Saber Interactive provided a long-promised update for Switch owners: they’ll be receiving the upcoming beat-em-up Shaq Fu: A Legend Reborn for free when that launches later this fall. As for the NBA Playgrounds update? Still nothing.
