Modders have already “ported” Zelda: Breath of the Wild to the PC, but they’re not stopping there. The guys behind the CEMU emulator, which emulates Wii U games on the PC, have started working on a mod for Zelda: Breath of the Wild that will add multiplayer to the game.
The mod will allow two people to play the game locally side by side. It’s a lofty goal, and the modders say that the new multiplayer feature won’t be ready for another year.
CEMU has skyrocketed in popularity after the launch of Breath of the Wild. They are now raking in more than $30,000 a month in donations for their efforts. For all that money, it seems that they are giving fans something they wanted from Nintendo: a multiplayer Zelda game.
