Minecraft is getting cross-platform play and graphics update in 2018

Minecraft developer Mojang recently announced that the Switch version of the game will be getting a big update in 2018 which will include the much touted cross-platform play.

Additionally, in 2018 we’ll also see the “Super Duper Graphics Pack” released as well, which will update the graphics of the game.

The developer didn’t give a reason for the delays, only that the new features and content just aren’t ready for the Switch yet.

They also revealed “The Update Acquatic”, an update which will focus on underwater gameplay, with new water physics, water content (such as dolphins) and more.
