In a surprising bit of news, the Minecraft team announced that the popular game will soon be available as a physical Wii U release, not just on the Wii U eShop.
Minecraft has been dominating the Wii U eShop as one of the best selling titles month after month — in fact, Minecraft is the only third party game on the Wii U eShop’s top 20 best seller list.
Apparently it’s doing so well digitally that it’s getting a physical release as well. We’re guessing it’ll be for all the kids whose parents don’t trust them with their credits cards.
Minecraft recently got a big update on the Wii U, which added 27 new skins and fixed a whole bunch of bugs.
Hey! Minecraft: Wii U Edition is already available on the Nintendo eShop, but soon you'll be able to buy it on disc in stores! Waa hoo!
