Nintendo delivered on a promise made in an earlier Nintendo Direct today, making the Miiverse available outside the Wii U for the first time. It’s a simple browser page that can be accessed both on mobile and desktop and lets you yeah posts, read your community pages and reply to new content, but if you want to draw or start a new thread, you’ll need to be on the Wii U to do that. Still, it’s nice to be able to catch up on your activity feed directly from your phone if you happen to be out and about.
You’ll need to login with your Nintendo Network ID, which for now can only be created on the Wii U. No word on when dedicated mobile apps for Android, iOS and Windows Phone might appear, but this is certainly a step in the right direction.
