Miiverse on Wii U and Nintendo 3DS has received a minor update

Miiverse

Users of Nintendo’s social network Miiverse will find an update has been released for both the Wii U and the Nintendo 3DS apps for the service. First up, a change for all versions has made it so users can now unfollow and follow people directly from their followers page, so you no longer have to open that person’s profile in order to follow or unfollow them.

Secondly, Miiverse will now notify you when you’re in a community that doesn’t allow posting screenshots. A visible icon of a screenshot with an X over it will appear, letting you know that community doesn’t accept screenshots. Before now there was no way to tell where uploading of screenshots had been enabled or disabled.

Finally, the last update applies only to the Wii U version of the app. An icon has been added below video posts to play the high quality version of that video. If there is no high quality version available, the video will play in normal format.

These are all nice changes, but they’re still no where near the list of things we wanted to see Nintendo add to Miiverse. Here’s the original Miiverse post announcing the update for those who are interested.
