Miiverse gets an update that lets you search for posts

Miiverse

Marty of Miiverse fame has announced a new update to the social site this morning, with the web version being the focus. If you’ve ever tried to search for a particular post on Miiverse, you’ll know it was downright impossible before today. That’s changed, as the update has made it possible to search for specific users on Miiverse in the web version. This is a great change for anyone looking for specific updates from Miiverse users, which were hard to see without using the Wii U or 3DS apps.

1) We changed the position of the community search function in the web version of Miiverse. The search box is now at the top of the community list.

2) Previously you could only search for users in the Wii U and Nintendo 3DS versions of Miiverse, but you can now search for them in the web version too. The search box is at the top of the activity feed in the web version. We plan to move it there in the Wii U and Nintendo 3DS versions of Miiverse in a future update.

It’s nice to see Nintendo continually working on support for Miiverse, especially the web version. Now if we could get that dedicated app for iOS/Android, we’d finally have something Nintendo promised all the way back in 2012.
