Check out Grant Kirkhope’s Mario + Rabbids music [VIDEO]

Perhaps one of the greatest surprises of E3 for me was the reveal of Mario + Rabbids: Kingdom Battle. Not only does it appear to mix the gameplay of XCOM with the whimsical nature of Nintendo games, it also features music composed by Grant Kirkhope.

Kirkhope’s musical stylings have been gracing our ears in titles like Banjo Kazooie, Goldeneye, Donkey Kong, and most recently Yooka-Laylee. Nintendo fans are well acquainted with Kirkhope’s music, so it should be no surprise that Ubisoft has managed to secure the famous composer to breathe a little life into the collaboration between Ubisoft and Nintendo.

A YouTuber has cut together a short trailer that includes just the music featured in the trailers, so you can get a better idea of what the music will sound like.

The game is releasing on Nintendo Switch on August 29th. Will you be picking it up?
