Perhaps the most surprising thing about yesterday’s Super Mario Odyssey trailer was being treated to a Mario game with actual, vocal music! Now, I haven’t played a mainline Mario game since the OG Super Mario Galaxy, so forgive me if this isn’t exactly new, but damn it’s good! Give it a listen:
I’ve been listening to this periodically since yesterday’s reveal. I just can’t get enough of it! I mean, really listen to those lyrics. Not only are they painting a picture that entices you to play Super Mario Odyssey (by asking you to take a chance in this new world), but it’s so uplifting!
If this is what we can expect from future Nintendo titles, I’m all for it. Now, Nintendo, if we could just get a vocal version of the ARMS theme, that’d be great! Oh, and a CD for this song too, please!
