Mario Odyssey sold 63k units on Japanese eShop in 3 days

Super Mario Odyssey has been a huge success for Nintendo. And recent sales numbers of the digital version show just how popular it was: it sold 63,538 copies in the first three days on the Switch eShop.

And that’s for Japan only.

That’s according to the latest issue of Famitsu, which also reports that Splatoon 2 sold about 16,000 units during that same period, and that total Splatoon 2 digital sales in Japan are at an impressive 141,000 units.

Super Mario Odyssey has been incredibly successful in Japan, selling 90% of its shipment during the first week, which is an impressive number.

Worldwide, the game sold 2 million copies in its first three days on the market.
