Mario Kart VR looks incredibly fun in first footage

Nintendo first foray into modern VR is through an arcade version of Mario Kart, officially called Mario Kart Arcade GP VR. Payers use the HTC Vive VR headset and a steering wheel and pedals to control the game.

Not only that, players have sensors attached to their hands so they can push and throw stuff at the other players. And the chairs move and rumble as well. It’s quite an intricate and realistic setup.

And judging from the first footage, it looks incredibly fun. Check out the video above, via the latest episode of Japanese show Denjin Getcha.

Here’s what the actual setup looks like in the arcades. Hopefully Nintendo will bring this to the West.
