One of the most annoying things about the original Mario Kart 8 release on Wii U is that Nintendo didn’t actually give us any good battle arenas in the game. They were just modified versions of the tracks that already appeared in the game, making this mode less fun to play around in.
Thankfully, that seems to be something that the team took into consideration for the re-release of Mario Kart 8 Deluxe on the Nintendo Switch, as this issue has been addressed with eight new battle arenas that are properly modeled to be battle arenas that you’ll have to learn separately just for this game mode.
