The video above shows a bunch of different levels, and while Mario’s character style stands out among the often gritty environments, it easy to marvel at the possibilities here.
And yes, while the hyper-realistic visuals of the Unreal Engine 4 might not suit the cartoony style of Mario, it still look stunning — we can only imagine how it would look once Nintendo’s own artists got to work on these levels.
Needless to say, who wouldn’t pay money for a Mario game like that?
