Amid America’s desperate attempt to eat healthier, just about every iconic fastfood restaurant is trying to re-invent itself as a place that cares about the health and well-being of its patrons. McDonald’s new commercial is no different, as it shows historic archenemies from several different aspects of media and culture come together to enjoy a few BigMacs. While the message portrayed is that everyone can bond over McDonald’s (while clogging their arteries), the art style is actually pretty cute.
Alongside traditional nemeses like Freddy vs. Jason and Batman vs. The Joker, we see Mario slyly offering Bowser a piranha plant, which explodes with love. How sweet.
