Mario and I both have something in common. We both turned 30 this year! Nintendo has released a brand new website dedicated to the 30th anniversary of Mario, where you can watch a cool Mario Maker tribute to the early years of everyone’s favorite plumber in original NES style. What exactly the site is promoting beyond the 30th anniversary is yet to be determined, but there is a pretty snazzy welcome message.
Thanks to all the love and support from fans, Mario has been in many more games since that release. We’re making big plans to show our appreciation and celebrate the 30th anniversary. Stay tuned to the site for information and announcements.
You can check out a showcase for Mario Maker on Wii U on the site, but I expect the site will have a huge tie-in to E3 this year.
