Let’s talk Smash: What do you want to see most from the Nintendo Direct?

Yesterday Nintendo announced an official Nintendo Direct dedicated to Super Smash Bros. this Thursday, October 23. With such a high profile release on the way, it makes sense that Nintendo wants to hype it as much as possible. We’ve even had a few leaks that suggest content that could be talked about on the stream, including 8 man smash mode with 3DS as controllers, and the speculated board game mode and stage builder that a recent Amazon leak hinted at in its product description.

With Amiibos launching alongside Super Smash Bros., I expect a significant portion of the Nintendo Direct to be geared toward how these figures will work with the game. We’ve gotten a general idea up until now, but there are still many questions that are left unanswered. Can you train yourself against three other Amiibos? What sort of item drops are in the game for them? Is there a way to reset the Amiibo should you want to sell it? With so many unanswered questions about these figures, it would benefit Nintendo to make sure its customers know everything about them before their purchase.

What new details do you want to learn? Are you eager for more details on stages and extra modes, similar to how the Nintendo 3DS Smash Direct went? Or do you want Nintendo to focus on extra DLC that’s inevitably coming for the game? With the release of Mario Kart 8 and Hyrule Warriors, we see Nintendo now offering deals on DLC packs. Do you think Nintendo will offer DLC packs for Smash?
