Lego City: Undercover would lose something on other platforms according to producer

Typically LEGO games launch on every major platform, but the one exception we’re seeing to this is Lego City: Undercover, which is a Wii U exclusive. The game is being published by Nintendo, but there’s more to it than that as for why the game is a platform exclusive. In an interview with ONM.co.uk, producer Loz Doyle stated that the game would definitely lose something if it were ever ported to other platforms.

“Lego City: Undercover would definitely lose something on other platforms. Chase is actually given a LEGO version of the GamePad as his Police Communicator, so it’s really woven into the story. We started with a massive array of ideas [for the GamePad] but in the end we focused on it being a police device. The map is really useful to have on at all times rather than in a small corner of the screen, plus you receive video calls from different characters.”
